About Patient Zero
Patient Zero is the chronicle of one man’s battle with cancer. On April 11, 2007 after months of doctor visits, scans, tests, and 2 biopsies, John C. Erianne (Diary of a Mad Editor) was diagnosed with primary squamous cell carcinoma of the right anterior base of the tongue which had spread to the lymph nodes in his neck. Erianne is a non-smoker and non-drinker and falls into that unfortunate 1-percent of cases of oral cancer where the cause is not apparent. This blog will deal with his ordeal with honesty and openness. Hopefully, it will be informative and also provide support to those going through treatments for cancer or other potentially fatal disease.

Hey I’ve got the same thing, but mine is stage 1/2. Hasn’t spread to lymph nodes. Also non-smoker/drinker. Started chemo and radiation 4 weeks ago. 3 more to go. Thanks for the blog. Been very informative and inspiring.
