PET Scan
July 17, 2009 | Filed Under ENT, PET CT Scan, oncologist | No Comments
Went for another PET Scan yesterday. This one went more smoothly than the last time, so it took the usual 3 hours instead of 5. Now the waiting. I don’t imagine I’ll learn anything until my doctor’s appointment next month — which is a few weeks away. I hope that all is fine. I’ve got enough problems without having to worry about the cancer coming back. Still, it’s always there in the back of my mind. However, if all is normal, I won’t have to go for follow-up exams as often. Next month will mark my 2-year aniversary as a survivor. If I cross that threshold, I will only have to see my doctors once a year (at least I think so. I know I won’t have to see my radiation oncologist again until next June, but I’m not sure when I go back to my ENT because they didn’t say when my next appointment should be, only that they would call me when it was time to go back. My medical oncologist will probably be an annual follow-up after next month’s visit).
