If you are seeking an online degree, Walden University seems like a pretty inconvenient choice. From what I’ve heard, it is definitely not a diploma mill. WaldenU.edu is a institution dedicated to hardcore academia. I mean if you like to do a lot of reading, research, and writing, Walden may be for you, but if you are looking for easy, forget about it.

Walden University’s online degree programs are rigorous and challenging and not for lazy students who do not want to invest themselves in their own education. From what I’ve heard from a few people I know who have pursued degrees there, the professors can be real ball-busters when it come to completing assignments. It actually sounds like it is easier to graduate from a regular college — especially if you are pursuing a PhD. Graduations from their doctoral programs are something like 20 percent from what I gather with an average completion time of 5.9 years for successful candidates. Personally, I’d have to wonder if it would be worth it. After all, a Walden degree doesn’t exactly have the same cache as most brick n mortar universities when it comes time for finding work. One wonders if the time and effort needed to complete a PhD. at Walden will ultimately pay any practical dividends. Maybe, maybe not. In any event, you should learn about Walden and what they have to offer before deciding on an online degree.
