Mr. Spock Never Had It So Good

I’m constantly amazed by how many things you can do with a smart phone nowadays. like the old iPhone ads used to say, “There’s an app for that.” Now Android starting to catch up in the app market. Lately, they’ve come up with a barcode scanner app for Android phones that turns your phone’s built-in camera into a barcode reader. With this app, you can scan barcodes, smart tags, QR codes and such.
Barcode scanners have come a long way since I was scanning boxes at Sears some years ago. Hell, Mr. Spock’s tricorder looks positively ancient by comparison.
