Writing at the Coffee Shop
Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell
I’m a novelist so I spend most of each day at my computer. It gets mighty lonely so now and then I’ll pack up my laptop, feed the cat, set my home security alarm from allhomesecurity.com, and head to the coffee shop a couple of blocks away to work. I can sip on a big cup of hot cocoa or black coffee with sugar and cream while I work on my latest novel. There is company in the form of other customers, but no one bothers me other than to say hello. In fact there are several writers who work out of this coffee shop. The WiFi is free and the owner of the coffee shop appreciates our business even if we do occupy several of his chairs for hours at a time. But he explained that having us ! there makes his coffee shop look like a really popular place. Many other customers drop in just because they believe that a small crowd equals good coffee. Of course, the owner’s homemade pastries and sandwiches don’t hurt. They are delicious. I’ve even been known to nibble on a turkey club sandwich or a slice of apple pie while I write. Protein is good for the brain, right, and that little bit of sugar keeps my energy up. That’s my story anyway, and I’m sticking to it.
I Finally Got Me Some NFL Network
Contributed by Milford Woods
I’m a huge fan of the NFL, but for almost a decade I could only watch NFL games that were on regular television. You might think that if I were such a big NFL I would have ordered NFL Network. You have a point, but even though I love the NFL, I’m also very frugal. Growing up eating Lucky Charms for dinner every night and having to walk 5 miles to and from school every day made me that way. So, spending extra money on the NFL Network was out of the question. However, these days, I have a little more money. And the first place that money went to was the NFL Network, which has become my favorite sports network on satellite tv from http://www.bestchoicetv.com/satellite-tv/.
The best thing about the NFL Network is that you can watch all of the games you missed in high speed. They don’t show every play, which is a good thing. They cut out all the 2-yard runs, meaningless penalties, and unnecessary breaks. All you get to see is fast-paced, hard-nosed action, and it’s awesome. You can educate yourself on every team in the NFL in one day. Another advantage is being able to see the Thursday Night games, which acts as a great warm-up for Sunday football. I will never be without the NFL Network again, especially at such an affordable price.
Getting a New Home Theater
If you are shopping for a home theater system, you should begin by choosing a good quality TV influenced by your viewing needs. If you want to view movies, you may be in the market for a rear projection TV, for example. If you simply want a regular TV,you need to figure out if you want a flat screen, and if so, what style. A plasma or an LCD? Knowing where you would like to place it, will need to be taken into account, too.
Then you will need to pick a sound system. Usually, the speakers on the tv alone are not enough. You will probably want an all in one type system, and probably like it to be wireless. Having to climb in and out of attics to hook wires up is not fun for anyone. Most surround sound systems are compact enough that anyone can install them. Most systems will accommodate a tv, dvd player, video game system, and still have room for more.
Next, you will need to determine is how you wish to watch movies. The majority of individuals don’t invest in DVD players any longer, they prefer Bluray players. If you are a typical hormonal acne teen interested in video gaming, the PS 3 is an excellent option, since it comes equipped as a Bluray player, as well. In addition, if you have Bluray, you are going to need your TV to be HD.
