Another thing that always seemed like a scam to me are those ads you see on television to study at a medical assistant training school though the mail. You know those places that offer to train you in a wide variety of careers and you pay a load of money and they send you a bunch of study material and some take-home tests and at the end you get some certificate that isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. I’ve never met a single person who got a job based on that kind of training, yet those places have been in business since long before I was even born.
