. . . On Second Thought

I’ve never had much luck with diet supplements. This isn’t a question of overeating or not exercising enough. I’m not eating unhealthy foods. There’s something physical going on here. Certainly, my thyroid is contributing to the problem, but I don’t think that’s the whole answer. I fear something worse is going on. And supplements may contribute to making the problem worse. One thing that occurs to me is diabetes. It runs on both sides of my gene pool. Even though my glucose level is still technically within normal range, I’ve noticed that it’s edged higher over the last year. That makes me suspicious. I think, if I don’t start seeing results in my current effort to lose weight, I’m going to insist on further tests to rule-out or confirm my suspicions.
