Is the Super Bowl Going to Be Super This Year?

I’m not the most die-hard sports fan. I haven’t followed baseball regularly since they banned Pete Rose. I’ve never gotten the thrill of seeing a seven-foot behemoth slam-dunk a ball into a basket ten feet off the ground (especially when that same dude can’t hit a free throw to save his own life). I lost interest in hockey right around the time Mark Messier retired. Pro boxing has become a joke. Even though I used to play a little golf, watching it is boring — as is tennis 99% of the time. You can have NASCAR too. But I do love me some Pro Football.
Today, I was glued to my crappy Chinese made TV this afternoon watching the Eagle kick the Giants’ ass. It’s a big no-no for anyone in my neck of the woods to root for anyone but the Eagles. Of course, I am usually an AFC man myself and will be routing for whatever AFC team makes it into the Super Ball. I was mainly routing for the Eagles because I’m still pissed that the Giants won the Super Bowl last year. Am I alone in thinking Eli Manning is one of the most overrated QB’s in the game?
Anyway, I’m getting psyched for the Super Bowl. I’m hoping it will be a good battle no matter which two teams end-up going to the big game. And despite the fact that I live in a shoebox with a piece of shit TV and don’t have the big flat screen HD and the surround sound and the home theater seating, I’m going to be glued to my seat with my chips and my pizza and my meatballs and sausage.
